Key responsibilities:

Categorise in headlines the key responsibilities that demonstrates the variety of roles that the organisation expects the position to fulfil


1.         Provide analytical and consulting services in designing, delivering and executing projects related to Marketing, Sales& Financial data

2.         Should be able to perform

a.         Critical analysis on Market, Finance & Promotional data

b.         End-to-end Cross-functional projects

c.         Benchmarking, RoI& promotional mix projects

3.Perform market & financial data analysis on prospective projects and recommend decisions

4.Creating models that enhance return on investment of projects

5.Analysing market & financial projections to advise the management on how to best position investments

6.Provide updates on markets activities in order to right position the company in the market

7.Conducting market research on the industry and gather market intelligence to enhance management decisions

8.Preparing marketing and financial documents for presentation to higher management on returns on specific investments

9.Presenting the business outcomes tointernalstakeholders

10.Maintain up to date information on the latest economic trends in relevant markets

11.To challenge the business in right decision making

12.Ensuresuperior customer satisfaction by delivering high end quality support to the stakeholders

13.Provide robust recommendations to management based on the data analytics

14.Share insights with the stakeholders as a result of the analyses

15.Complete ownership of the deliverables from end-to-end with a mind-set of ?continuous improvement? and share recommendations with the manager

16.Drive pilot projects, track & monitor progress and ensure future stabilisation

17.Collaborating closely with the Stakeholders to look at feedback, development opportunities


Main job tasks:

?Use strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyse Pharma dataincluding Sales, market, cost& Promotional data

?Processing various data files into useful analyses for stakeholders

?Ad hoc reporting activities and participation in projects

?Support the investment decisions by seeking most recent data and updating files and analyses of competitive landscape for review with senior leadership

?Develop custom analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, VBA, PowerPoint, Access& SAP system (Business Warehouse and/or Business Objects) and IMS databases (MIDAS)

?Conduct quality check of various reports and analysis

?Ensure documentation is recorded and maintained to deliver high quality projects

?Prepare presentations and participate in meetings to deliver results and make recommendations

?Get involved in projects on departmental systems, global and regional issues, as well as brand / therapeutic class related issues

?Generate clear, concise and business relevant reports

?Independently execute tasks/projects with minimal supervision

?Develop and manage a robust business analytics platform (tools and processes) to support modelling, business case reviewing

?Monitor performance for in-line products in order to optimise value of portfolio.

?Contribute to continuous improvement of processes

?Strengthen and build GSC Marketing intellectual property position

Internal Stakeholders? Insight managers,Brandmanagers, GMs, Marketing Directors/Managers and VP              ?              The position requires frequent and active engagement with numerous internal stakeholders. Important communication and stakeholder engagement skills are necessary to manage relationships

External Stakeholders? Database vendors, MarketResearch agencies, etc.              ?              The position requires extensive interaction with external stakeholders

Geographic responsibility:

This job is located in Bangalore, India.Role might require occasionaltravel to Zurich (Switzerland) as determined by business needs.



Knowledge, skills and experience:

Minimum knowledge required to fulfil job responsibilities (not actual CV from candidate/employee)


?Master?s Degree (preferably within quantitative/managementdiscipline) from awell-recognized institute

?Under-graduate degree in Pharma (B. Pharm), Science/Biotechnology (BSc), Engineering (B. Tech), Statistics

?Good academic track records and grades


?Plus: Knowledge of statistics tools


?5+ years of relevant experience in Pharma consulting industry especially in Return on investment

?Ability to translate business problems into most efficient and effective analysis plan; execute the analysis including data pull, data preparation

?Ability to collaborate and communicate with different stakeholders, primarily with internal stakeholders, customers, vendors, consultants and project teams.

?Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, with demonstrated experience in analysing complex situations, collecting data, effectively synthesizing the analytics/data to form a complete, cohesive pictureof the market

?Solid project management and relationship building skills in order to overcome complex and multidimensional business challenges

?Technical skills ?

Must have:

Advanced level knowledge of Advanced Excel, VBA & PowerPoint. Knowledge of statistical tools. Working level knowledge of IMS MIDAS database
